There is now a new way to contact Olveston Parish Council.  Drop-in sessions have been arranged for the third Wednesday of the month at the Olveston Methodist Hall from 6.30 to 8.00pm, where residents will have an opportunity to discuss issues with Councillors.  Parish Council meetings are all open to the public and visitors have always been encouraged, but now 10 minutes have been set aside at the start of each meeting for Parishioners to raise issues.

The Notice boards in Olveston (by the Stores), Tockington (by the White Hart) and Old Down (on the Bus Shelter) are also to be refreshed with Councillor contact details and meeting dates in addition to  Agenda’s and the information currently displayed.

The Parish Council Website ( compliments the Community website, and includes eight pull down menus.  ‘Home’ includes news on the Parish, ‘Influences on the Parish’ provides various links to parts of our District Council and other District and National Bodies that are directly affecting our Parish; ‘The Parish’ provides administrative information on our district & national representatives, information about the services run by and for the Parish as well as links to the Community website and Parochial Institutions; ‘Parish Council’ provides information about how to be a Parish Councillor and our Councillors, Policies and Governance information and the associated Committees; ‘Minutes & Finances’ lists the downloadable documents that have been published, such as minutes for Parish Council Meetings, Annual Assemblies and Financial Reports; ‘Projects’ provides up dated information on the Projects being undertaken on behalf of the Parish; whilst ‘Diary’ is a list of forthcoming Parish Council meetings.  Please note that each pull down box may contain information as well as providing links to further menus.

In conclusion, Olveston Parish Council can be contacted in person at either the monthly drop-in sessions held at the Olveston Methodist Hall on the 3rd Wednesday of every month, and at the beginning of the Parish Council meetings.  Emails can be sent to the Clerk at the above address, and Councillors through the email addresses displayed on the notice boards and the website.  There are also facilities to raise questions on the Parish Website, or the Parish Councils Facebook page.  Letters can be written to the Parish Council at the Clerks home address - 8 Orchard Rise, Olveston, BS35 4DY.  The phone number displayed for the Parish Council is primarily an answer phone, and Councillor contact phone numbers are displayed on the notice boards and the website.

For comments/ views on any items above, please contact one of the Parish Councillors or the Parish Clerk via email to ‘This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ’.
